Before you start any marketing campaign, you need a database.

It doesn't matter what type of marketing you are planning to use but all marketing needs a market place in which to ply its wares and nowadays, we call that market place a database.

If you want your marketing to be efficient and effective, it is probably best that you are working in an environment (marketplace) that is going to be responsive to your sales cry, is populated with people that have the means to purchase your wares and most importantly, your message (sales cry) is clear and concise.

It also helps to know who the decision makers are, where they are in the buying-cycle and what their likes and dislikes are in relation to your services or products.

Quite often, companies seeking this information opt for what they think is the easiest option and they buy the database from a listing company, but this isn't necessarily the easiest or safest option as the data can be out of date, erroneous or even unlawfully obtained (therby putting them at risk of being prosecuted by the TPS.)

Did you know that a professional telemarketing company can provide you with leads that are based on strategically selected data.  Developing your own data supply can be costly, both in terms of time and money.  Outsourcing this to a telemarketing specialist saves you these costs because they can provide, not only the right data but data that has been checked and verified.

Remember weak data provides poor leads, low sales levels, bad reputation, broken contracts and meagre investment-to-revenue ratios.
